The foundation for this noble venture was laid in 1986 by great visionaries Dr. B. Keshava Rao & his wife Dr. B. Nirmala. Dr. Rao, a gold medalist in Pediatrics, is more reputed as a family physician and surgeon in this area.

Dr. Keshava Rao started his genuine practice treating patients with humanity and professional ethics since 1971. BBR Hospital is named in the fond memory of his father – Sri. Bongu Bhima Rao.  In those days, Hyderabad city had only one other private nursing home. This humble beginning was reinforced brick by brick with hard work, clear vision and has grown steadily into a huge Super Speciality Hospital and is still growing because of the Almighty and well-wishers. 

Dr. Rao’s passion towards dedicated medical services has made him to direct his descendants & family members to carry forward the legacy into this noble profession in the same hospital in different specialties. 

Today, we proudly announce that we have upgraded our Hospital to Super Speciality level with 175 beds, 50 consultants, 50 duty doctors and registrars, 400 paramedical staff with fully equipped and excellent 24 hours medical, surgical, cardiac, obstetric, orthopedic and pediatric emergency services on par with any corporate hospitals in the twin cities.
